The walk to the cave entrance involves a paved incline through the forest, which takes about 10-15 minutes. Once inside, there is a well-maintained wooden boardwalk for the first kilometer. It is accessible for families, though comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.
While Cu Chi (near Saigon) was primarily for military use, Vinh Moc was a civilian village. It housed over 60 families and even included a maternity ward. It is much wider and taller, allowing you to walk through without crawling, making it a more "human" look at wartime survival.
